LIVELIHOOD MADULE

Introduction:
 
We had a livelihood module by Mrs.Neelam madam .That day morning we did discussion through reading group and also we presented about module.” Livelihood module is a set of economic activity, involving self – employment and or wage employment”.
 
About Module
When she came to our class. She told by walk and think about what is livelihood? And she told laugh. We did laugh. Then we come to class then she told write characteristics of livelihood. We wrote characteristics of livelihood. Then we had guest speaker session about livelihood.
        1)Mr.Samshudina Balegara (VRDS)
He started “vanasiri rural Development society”. Through the origination he gave loan to SHG group. And also he gave training to rural youth people about agriculture. When he started that origination He faced so many problems. He is working with now 450 SHG group. He is working with rural people. He wants do work along with rural people. Now his origination most development. Now He  is covering Haveri distich , Hireekerooru and byadhigi.
Then Mrs. Neelam Madam engaged the session. She told to us about livelihood module. Frame work of analyses livelihood. Assets of livelihood.
 
·   Human capital : Health, Nutrition, Education
·   Natural capital: Tree, Land, Water, Forest, Products.
· Social capital: Neighborhoods, relation of trust and mutual support,formal and informal group.
· Financial capital: Bank, saving, loan.
·  Physical capital: computer, mobile etc.
Characteristics of livelihood
 
1)    Self employment
2)    Marketing idea
3)    Sustainable livelihood
4)    Increase the income capital
5)    Dignity
After that she gave case study reading material. We read that material. After words we did discussion accompany madam. In that time she explained more. In the reading material there are so many related livelihood case studies like Devadasi given a sewing machine, for livelihood kasuthi, Hybrid crop but no food to eat, computer center. 
2) Mrs.Rekha Nayak 
We had guest speaker session by Rekha. She told about Fruits and vegetable Argotic. She has a factory. Its located kalaghatigi near Hubli. She told about her factory. She is maintaining factory hygiene when they will cleaning fruits that time they ware gloss, dress. After that they will sell Fruits and vegetable to other country. They are using machine for cleaning the fruits and vegetables. Then they will put one powder. Its production of the fruits and vegetable.Afterwords they got money from that business. They started one business through the business they are give work to other. They also doing work and also they develop their life. From this session I learnt new thinks.
   3) Mr.Erranna 
We had again one guest speaker session by Mr.Erranna about Navodyami. He told about Navodyami program.novodyami training focuses on sustainable growth of the business, meeting the expectations of the customers, and effective marketing of the products. Nowhere else these skills are taught, it’s only at the Deshpande Foundation’s Navodyami Program.
Then Dr.Neelama madam came to our classroom. She told go to all Navodyami office. After wards we went to Navodyami office we saw all products.Mr. Erranna and Mr.sanjeeva kulkarni they were made 3 group then they told to us. We were gave one products we have to sell today only. In our group 5 members was there. They gave to us bags and pars. We went from kushalam lab to vidyanagar. We went Home to Home for our products sell. When we were went to home people asked to us why you are coming this time. Some of customers they asked prize very low rate. We convince them but the told rate low that’s way we were not sold any products. We sold one wall plate. It was very good experience. We taught new think customers how they are asking prize.

       1) Vanita viswanath
Guest speaker session by Mr.vanita viswanath is the CEO of udyogini. We had session through the Skype. It was nice session. Vanita Viswanath is the CEO of Udyogini, an organization providing business development services to poor women in the less economically developed and remote regions of India.

Established in 1992, Udyogini works to empower poor women through micro-enterprise development and management, focusing on the strategic initiatives of promoting gender-inclusive value chains, market linkages and training in vocational and business skills in 8 less economically developed states of India.
 2) Geetha 
She is program manager in samarthanam organization. She told about organization In 1997, Mahantesh G.K. and two of his friends established an organization to provide opportunities for the deserving, young, and talented children with disability of any form, or from marginalized economic backgrounds. Thus, more than a decade ago, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled came into existence by providing free hostel facilities to the deserving students.
She told which the projects are going on in organization. BPO call center it is only for 10 student and puc student. They are giving Basic English and IT. This is 3month course. Then” Kirana” if student want do higher education. They will help to student. And “Parisara” this is recycle the wastes.
This organization giving prioritizing to disable children. They are Contribution to disable children it is really wonderful origination. When she explained about organization I am inspire.

To promote primary and higher education of the visually impaired, disable and underprivileged children. To reduce malnutrition related disability through nutritional supplements. When I was attended that class I thought I want to see that organization.
 
        3)  Mr. Sanjeeva kulkarni 
 
He told” Techno Serve’s”. Social Enterprise Incubation Lab Program in Sandbox. About techno serves business solution, poverty by linking, information capital and markets.
TNS work in more than 40 countries with different regionally relevant focus.TNS work is rooted in the idea that hard working people can generate income, job & wealth for their family & communication. It has 3 mainly areas. 1) Entrepreneurship development & promotion 2) Livelihood Enhancement 3) Strengthening value chain.
Then Mrs.Neelam madam gave assignment to us. She gave 10 organizations that’s related to livelihood. We have to recognize what is livelihood, how does it fit in livelihood framework, what livelihood outcome you world get out of this. Then we prepared PPT. after words we did presentation infant of Mrs. Neelam madam. When we did wrong she explained and she asked question to us. While presented she gave examples related to topic.
