Participatory Rural Appraisal (P R A)
The Participatory Rural appraisal is one of the techniques used for gathering information on community resources and needs for use in literacy and community development programs. The techniques include the use of transect walks, maps, calendars', matrices, and diagrams using locally available materials. PRA is a tool commonly used with the reflect instructional program.
On 15&16 March prakash Bhat sir taken the PRA session in that session that sir told like that some example through Social Map, Venn diagram,Time line, Wealth ranking, Transects,Risks in P R A.
On 17thMarch 2013 we visited to Mandihalvillage purpose of PRA Activities and also I participated in that activity. totally we studied regarding 4 tools social map, Venn diagram, seasonal diagram, matrix diagram etc.in that PRA we faced the some challenges, and also learned many more things how interact with farmers ,village resource, basic needs of the villagers etc.
