Morning our journy started with having pooja and tea, this was very memorable moment for me i never had this type of visits.
Now I am very happy to share with you!!
SRIJAN
is a group of over 60
professionals, trained in various technical, management, and social
service
disciplines, most of who work directly with rural poor. Covering
resource poor
regions of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, with with continued
institutional support from the state Government and donor agencies such
as
deshpande foundation.
Coconut form:
We went to shanavali
village.we met one enterprenuer. His name Suresh batta. He started one
coconut
form. He told about “virgin oil”. How to preparied the virgin oil. What
are the
process used. He show demo we are saw that show. He product coconut milk oil first time I saw that
process.he getting oil for month 500kg. he has 12 yakar land.
Learnin’s:
We met honey bee entrepreneur in
boommannahalli village. He started honey bee business. His name ravindra
hegade.in that business he started was 2006. But he sold honey in 2008.
He gave
honeysilt to horticulture department.in that business He got more
profit. He
told about honey bee business.
Charaka is a women’s multipurpose industrial cooperative society situated at bhimanakone village. It is in sagar taluk of shimoga district of Karnataka state, 360 kilometers from Bangalore by road. Charaka is a small but significant success story.it produces naturally dyed cotton handloom garments in a composite handloom unit in bhimanakone.charaka clothes (readymade garments) produced by it are sold in big cities like Bangalore at retail outlets under the brand name desi. These garments are much sought after by the young and the old, men and women. Desi retail stores have a combined annual turnover of about 60million.

SRIJAN
I am very happy to share about
NGO visit for our study purpose. First we visited SRIJAN (self reliant
initiatives through joint action) NGO in mundgod. SRIJAN is a non-
profit civil
society organization committed to promote sustainable and self-reliant
development of the poor. Registered as a public charitable trust in Jan
2000.
SRIJAN has been working since 1997 for the creating livelihood security
for
poor.
ROLES: livelihood
promotion is a complex business interplay of forces nature, human
skills,
enterprise, credit availability and markets. Often the small farmers
aren’t ready to adopt new practices.
Hence we assist rural poor in technology adaptation, transfer new skills
to
them, from and strengthen their organizations, build linkages with
market,
banka and knowledge institutions.
Our
field teams have persisted
with and deepended their efforts to establish livelihood clusters that
could become
sustainable business. Since 2007 in north west Karnataka SEIJAN is
working on
enhancement of paddy productivity through SRI for small and marginal
farmers
with the support of deshpabde foundation. In hangal taluka of haveri
&
mundgod taluka of uttara kannada
districts, where most small and marginal farmers rely on paddy as their
livelihood &main resource income. In 2008-09, SRI has
reached to 158 farmers. In 2009 kharif, 184
farmers has adopted the technology and more than 250farmers have
expressed
their willingness to adopt in current summer with increased area under
SRI
method.
ABOUT S
R I : ( system of rice
intensification ) since SRI method of paddy cultivation is an idea
proving to
be the way to deal with the problem of erratic monsoon, it has become
boon for
small and marginal farmers in rice growing
areas who face extreme crop loss due to low rainfall, pest and disease
menace.

understood.

He growing
so many coconut, banana,
chikus and bettle.but I saw one coconut tree in that tree getting
500coconut.then
he told about our experience. What are the problem faced he told. He
started
virgin oil to it putting name “Abhaya” virgin oil. He did BSE but he
doing
agriculture work.he doing hard work.he got traning from novodamyi

Honey bee business
He has mother fats(mother room)
in that fats 7 frames is their. He from it got hanney bee. Honey ghee
ready its
takeing time 2 month. He took the honey 8kg one time. He shows about
honey,
queen honey, what are the process he told.in that place we are enjoyed I
saw
new think.but its very difficult work. He put investment low but he got
more
profit.

Hegde form
We went hedge from it
comes b.k. road sagar. we met lakshmi narayan he told about hedge
form.he has
14acre land. He growing coconut, bio-fertilizer and also he product
sprinkler
machine parts.he sold moto cart, brush cutters.

Charaka:
How was charaka formed:
For that, we have to go more then fifteen years back, to 1994. It was then that a trust named kavi kavya was formed. As its name suggestes, it was a literary andcultural organization active in the village. A group of educated people ran it. It was they who started charaka.
Kavi kavya organized a training programme for the works of anganawadi in the village of shimoga distric, in the use of locally available ciltural resourcethe progrea went on for a whole year. During that time, kavi kavya activists traveled extensively through rural area of the district.
In September 1996, kavi kavya trust handed over the entire infrastructure thus developed, to the women works and charaka society was registered. The trust told the women works that as long as they produced quality stuff, the trust would market it and take the responsibility of clearing the bills within a fortnight of the delivery of the product.
Objective of charaka:
In charaka main objective reduce the migration. Help to rural women’s.
Facilities
In charaka give facilities to workers. But we are growing at a phenomenal rate of 25percent year. Our workers, who are their own paymasters, draw a decent living wage. They give themselves a small bonus every year, eat subsidized food, have health insurance and take home loans.
